Tails from the Bayou 

Welcome to Tails from the Bayou website! We're so glad you're here, and we'd love to share the story of how our business came to be.

Our founder, Kent, has always had a love for the ocean and its bounty of the Gulf Coast. Growing up in Shreveport, Louisiana far away from the coast and wetlands of South Louisiana. He learned to appreciate the flavors of fresh seafood and the joy that comes from sharing a meal with loved ones.

As he grew older, Kent started experimenting with different ways of preparing seafood. He discovered that with the right seasoning and cooking techniques, he could make even the most reluctant seafood eaters into fans. He began hosting seafood dinners for his friends and family, and they were always a hit.

It wasn't long before word of Kent's seafood prowess spread beyond his inner circle. He started getting requests from acquaintances and coworkers for him to cater events with his seafood specialties. Kent quickly realized that there was a market for his unique brand of seafood catering.

And so, “Tails from the Bayou” was born. Kent started small, catering intimate events for friends and family. But as his reputation grew, so did his business. Today, “Tails from the Bayou” is a thriving company that brings the flavors of the ocean and marshy wetlands to events of all sizes.

We pride ourselves on using only the freshest seafood, sourced from sustainable and responsible fisheries.

 

We are experts at preparing seafood in a variety of ways, from classic boiled shrimp, traveling raw bar, onsite boiling, blackened shrimp or chicken alfredo pasta, shrimp creole, gumbeaux, poboys, fried seafood, crab fried rice, grilled blue and snow crabs for our clients to choose from to customize and tailor our clients preferences and needs.

 

Tails from the Bayou offers something exquisite and unexpected by providing a traveling raw bar that has fresh oysters from coast to coast. And we offer a spectacular seafood tower loaded with fresh Maine lobster, Alaskan king crab legs, clam, mussels, knuckles, fresh colossal lump crab meat and jumbo cocktail shrimp and crab claws.

Whether you're hosting a wedding, corporate event, or backyard barbecue, “Tails from the Bayou” is here to help. We believe that food has the power to bring people together, and we're honored to be a part of your special occasion.
